| | are you marketing yourself or your product? If you are marketing your loan products fishing for a customer you are working in overcrouded waters with the same old bait. you need a new approach with an old school tactic. i teach my lo's to market themselves and the added value of using them over any other loan officer. make sure you have your name and photo on everything that you send to a client or advertise with. if you are intrested in some of my ideas please contact me, i am looking for 5 individuals that i can personaly mentor and train to be leaders in the mortgage industry. 866-944-3065 i can fund loans in all 50 states. |

i market Davie Mortgage Group. I market LOCAL and actually have my picture on my flyer.
I believe homeowners WANT to trust someone, and I market my product as someone local they can trust. Nobody else does that here. They all think they can use tactics like:
'from the financial affairs section
' home mortgage reduction division'
this crap on the envelope so you will open it up to find the bait and switch.
others send something that looks like a check so u think ur getting money -all to find a refi monkey inside instead.
I cant bring myself to advertise that way. |

i have about 1000 biz cards that are color and my photo on it. I should drop them everywhere. I was thinking about getting a chopper and doing the leaflet thing............
lol.
question:
The chamber of commerce has recently asked us to rent a booth at the mall for an 'expo' . Rental costs are $350 bucks for a weekend in the prime area where people come into the mall or food court.
Has anyone done this? Does it work?
My take is that even if we dont get a loan off it -its great for EXPOSURE.
cheers |

| | | i would at least try it once. make sure you take advantage of every aspect of the situation. you can do instant prequals, hand out tons of cards, offer no payments for 6 months through flagstar as a trigger to get them over to your booth. if you prequal them through new century the credit report is free right greg?? |

| | Dick Clark Drops The Ball And A New Year Begins… But If You Or I Drop The Ball, Stuff Hits The Fan… And It’s Not Confetti! Nearly everyone makes New Year’s resolutions and hopes for a better year to come. The key word here is hopes. For most people 2007 will unfold pretty much like last year. Same problems, same behaviors, and the same outcomes. Why? Well, it’s because little action is actually taken to achieve the goals we set for ourselves. So we end up with the same results year in and year out. It makes me wonder what people are thinking when they’re doing the ten second count down and watching Dick Clark Drop his Ball at midnight on December 31st. How To Make Resounding Resolutions With A Lasting Impact? I was recently asked by a friend that is much more relaxed about work then me “Are you having fun?” I guess I was shocked by the question. I thought about it for a while and I figured out that unlike me, most people separate work and pleasure. You see, I personally get satisfaction out of my work and achieving goals. If that’s not happiness, then I don’t know what is. The way I feel about it is that we’re all programmed to create, invent and achieve. And it’s shocking to me to see this separation of achievement and happiness. If you are not passionate about your work, you will never achieve lasting success or true happiness. You need to dig deep into your soul to tap into the true meaning of what you do and why you do it. Be aware of what matters to you and then rally your thought and action to support what is meaningful to you. If you don’t, then you run the risk of letting that valuable fuel evaporate and be gone forever. And that is the key to a complete life and finding true success. The only real power we have in life is the power of choice. But more often than not we too quickly and too easily relinquish control of our business, our fortunes and our lives to others, outside parties or to authorities with little real power. I meet Loan agents all the time that let themselves be pushed around or held hostage by the home office, clients, by their self imposed mental handcuffs, by their lack of guts. When they finally do strap a pair on, they are stunned to see just how much power they really have. They are shocked when they realize that they held the cards all along. Ya see, power is just like wealth… it’s there for the taking. It is rarely given. It is not really earned like as we are taught to believe. It doesn’t come by conforming to the norms of society. It doesn’t come from diligently keeping your nose to the grind stone… That will only get you a flat nose. The plain and simple truth is that wealth is taken. So here’s my advice for YOU in 2007- Strive to gain knowledge, always. Never settle for status quo. Block out negative, less creative people that only try to bring you down. Set, pursue, and achieve a lot of goals. Find a niche to sell to that interests you, and go after it. If you feel you must escape from your regular daily life to have fun or be happy, sit down and re-consider your regular daily life. And remember; align your goals with what matters and what is meaningful to you.
