Act!

Does anyone use this? I was just curious because this year was the first year I did and I was seeking tricks you have done with it.

What is Act? It sounds like a tax filing program.

It's customer management/database marketing software. Goldmine is another type of the same thing, in case you're familiar with it.

Greg I need to consider using ACT! or Goldmine. What are your thoughts on ACT!?

Eric have you used Goldmine?

I've used ACT sparingly, and never tried Goldmine. I probably didn't get into it enough but it seemed like you could do everything in Outlook/MS Word that you could do in ACT (mail merges, even reminders, etc).

I like Act! but if you have limited funds outlook will do just fine. You can make notes on when you called and the results so you can remember what you spoke about in your previous conversation. When you do they are floored that you have thought of them. Get creative with it. It will help you build a solid relationship when you remember they were in the hospital or something like that the previous month.
