"Over the last decade, the offshoring of lending processes has taken a permanent and growing position in the U.S. mortgage industry's overall strategy to drive efficiencies and reduce costs -- with lenders aggressively moving back office activities to lower-cost venues in non-U.S. English speaking countries," TowerGroup said in an announcement. However, the findings indicate there is "huge opportunity for lenders to move their processes offshore."
