NovaStar Nixes Wholesale, Employees
About 500 employees have been laid off, NovaStar Financial Inc. announced Friday. The move was made to align the organization's size with decreased loan production, NovaStar explained. The company also noted it will, at least temporarily, step back from pursuing new wholesale loans.
