More Help Arrives for Former AHM Employees

Countrywide Financial Corp. is hiring approximately 200 former American Home employees, according to a spokeswoman. Lend America also has begun hiring former employees who had worked at the now shuttered firm, an executive of that company told MortgageDaily.com. The moves follow similar actions by IndyMac Bancorp begun earlier this month. And New York State's Department of Labor last week announced a plan to aid unemployed workers of the real estate investment trust.

AHM use to market to new hires that they paid 1.45% on FHA plus override/YSP if sold that way.

It was pretty funny because their start rate was .50 higher than any other retail firm.
