Licensees in 5 States Face Deadlines

Five states have a transition deadline of Sept. 1 to become part of the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System. Including the five states, a total of 14 states are slated to be live on the system by Oct. 1. The system will include a single record for each state-regulated lender, mortgage broker, branch and originator which can be used to apply for, amend, renew or surrender licenses in any participating jurisdiction.
