Post July core CPI up slightly; housing starts slow (Reuters)

Reuters - U.S. core consumer prices rose
moderately in July and the housing and industrial sectors lost
vigor, according to reports on Wednesday that implied the
Federal Reserve's bid to curb inflation might be paying off.
