The Office of Federal Housing and Enterprise Oversight announced that it filed a notice of 101 civil charges against three former executives of Fannie Mae, according to an announcement Monday. The trio includes the former Ceo, Cfo and controller. The charges "reveal how the individuals improperly manipulated earnings to maximize their bonuses, while knowingly neglecting accounting systems and internal controls, misapplying over twenty accounting principles and misleading the regulator and the public," Ofheo said in the written statement.
