Countrywide Financial Corp. announced it reached an agreement with its chairman and ceo to continue in his role through Dec 31, 2009. Richard E. Anthony was elected chairman of Synovus, the company announced. Bharat Masrani was named ceo of Td Banknorth Inc., according to an announcement
