Countrywide Fundings Improve, Foreclosures Worsen

Residential loan fundings were $26 billion during February, according to Countrywide Financial Corp. Volume climbed from the prior month, though it was well off the level a year earlier. Foreclosures jumped from January to 1.64 percent.
