Post 10 Calls Cost Broker $100,000

An Englewood, Fla., mortgage broker is facing fines of up to $100,000 for allegedly making 10 calls to residents who paid to be put on the state's "do-not-call" list, according the state. The company, which allegedly made the calls between June and November of last year, also used recorded messages, which is a separate violation of Florida law, the department said in a statement.

This is one of the issues that can plague any sales professional using leads that may have not been scrubbed against a national, and state level DNC list.

There are a lot of autodialers on the market and alot of people selling leads, and I can tell you this that if you're not compliant with the technology that automatically cleans the lists before your "standard autodialer" starts sending out those calls....you could get a slap on the hand or worse.

Technology, and systems are advancing now that if anyone does enough due diligence, they can save themselves alot of hassle, and at the same time put plenty of qualified leads in their hands. One such system out there that is gaining national attention is Gold Calling, http://www.goldcalling.com .

Much more than an "autodialer", on of the important features is that any list used, even if you purchase a list "Cleaned against DNC" is automatically scrubbed against the National, and State level DNC lists.

Also important, that the leads being used are people that have actually requested information about the products and services you offer.

By using systems and vendors that are compliant in the regards to the TCPA is of the utmost importance, and I would caution anyone who is considering buying a $5000 autodialer system and a bunch of leads with the premise that you're going to stike gold at the other end of the line.
