A Question...Jim Enright

Question -- Can you imagine your mortgage life without DU/LP? There was actually a time like that. But for newbies, can you imagine your life without zip lock bags or microwave ovens?

By 12/31/07 Virtual Mortgage Meetings will be just like that. You can't imagine how you did business without them.

Previous, company owner, 2 x INC 500 company, NCAMP 2x President, NAMB Director and Secretary. LO. But that was then.

Married. 2 Kids. My son is US Marine (0311) doing 3rd Tour in Iraq.

Welcome Jim!

I hope your son is safe. My hubby only has 60 days to go and he leaves Camp Falcon in Southern Iraq and yes I am counting the days...

Can you remember a time Jim, when there was no such thing as APR and no TIL ... or how about there was no RESPA? I remember being in my mid 20's, 7 years in this industry then, and both of those happened. One in 1966 and the other in 1972 (if memory serves me correctly). ... then of course there were the next 90 or so Federal statutes that came after them.

Oh yea, and how about no Fannie Mae and no Freddie Mac? They both came along in the early '70's ... things sure have changed. People today have no clue how easy this biz is today, vs. walking to school in the snow barefoot (uphill both ways) ....
