What a game

Wow... Vince Young really is that good. I was surprised by how dominant he was.

USC kind of blew it though, with their inability to just score in the first half. Bush's lateral/fumble, Leinhart's endzone pick, 4th & 1 on the 12 and stuffed - those things will catch up to you sooner or later, no matter how good you are.

Very fun game to watch, though, by all accounts.

Erik it was the best National Championship game I have ever seen! So much action!

I am in a bowling league and caught most of it but could not hear it. Did Bush tweak his ankle?

Vince was DYNOMITE!

Phil Brown will become famous soon enough
I went to Oklahoma City last night b/c I got suite tickets to the Hornets vs. Heat. It was a sold out venue because Shaq was off the injured list. The Hornets whooped them and Desmond Mason was awesome. I think 50% of the people in the Ford Center were watching the USC/Texas game in the outside bars and hallways. My wife and I were the only two people in the suite watching the basketball game, everyone else was drinking beer and crowded around a 21 inch tv watching football. I was thinking, why not stay home and save a lot of money and watch the game!?!? Sometimes I think people really have too much money.

Phil, I think you may be right... too much disposable income. Or maybe it's just too low of expectations on college football post-season - since BCS games usually are terrible.

Greg, no, Bush didn't tweak his ankle. He tried to lateral the ball in the 1st quarter, inside the 20 after a big gain on a screen pass, for no good reason really, turned it over, and wasn't the same after that huge mental mistake.

Well, I only mention it because I caught the trainer taping up his ankle.

Maybe he just wanted to firm up his ankle area for better support. The other ankle did not get taped though.

Oh... I think that was after his shoe got pulled off. I thought it was to help his shoe stay on, but maybe he did tweak it.

I just figured he would be in the game more too. Yeah maybe they just taped it to keep his shoe on. You are probably right since it happened after his shoe fell off.

I could not hear the announcers at the bowling alley. So I asked about it.
