Exclamation Publisher Ripping Off Lead Company

How about that? I just got ripped by a publishing company based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. I sent this guy $1,100 so he can drive traffic to my website (http://www.getquickfund.com) in-turn I could turn it to Telemarketed double opt-in leads.

1st - I sent the money on January 4th and I told him CA prospects only and he made a mistake by sending it nationwide.

2nd - He said he published 250k email broadcast the following week and I never received one lead from it.

3rd - He said he will send out another 250k email broadcast and no response. So, from that point I started worrying and thinking this might be a fluke.

4th - I told him just to send me those email list that were pre-targeted for CA region so I can email blast it myself and he just kept blowing me off... i.e. "I was at the doctor's office", "Our servers were down b/c of hurricane Wilma", "One of my staff members got fired... blah, blah".

The order was made in January 4th and its now February 16th. What do you guys think about this scenario? I'm starting to feel a little weird about these companies in Florida -- Real Deal Phil, Leads-for-Less (mortgage shop fathered lead company) and this guy that I'm dealing with.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to your response.

I sent you the name of the company through PM b/c I don't want to expose their info just yet. If they come and fess up with some sort of agreement then I'm fine with it... if not then I'll post it.

It sure is a lot of money. Did you consider a featured listing on search engines from an Search Engine Optimization company?

My mother uses www.ineedhits.com and I think the packages are 1/3 the price. Can be featured on all 3 major search engines.

But, that has a continuing cost every month or 3 months and so on.

Check it out. I know there was more to the package you bought though. Hope they finally get you taken care of. They probably could not get a refund on the national listing or something.

Yeah, its OK Greg... You live a learn you know. You can't win all the battles.. you have to give up or lose eventually. What's $1,100 if my company already grossed $30,000 since January 1st.

I've tried Spam Hormel before and they're actually pretty good. I don't trust the ingredients because it has a lot of sodium but I'll eat it anyway.

Now I understand your last answer to the PM I sent you.

For my travel business, back in July I retained a company at www.freshbrewedleads.com
He has a guaranteed open email marketing program. Back then I did a test for $349 which resulted in about 60 optins to my webpage in 72 hours. That did result in sales, at a decent profit. ( 10 times my investment )

I don't know if he can do them for the mortgage industry...you may want to investigate.

Sorry to hear about the pain in the a@!

Carlo, sorry to hear about your luck or lack of it. Have you tried putting their name in ripoffreport.com search engine and see if anything shows up on them?
