As much as I love hockey, I must admit that I'm more than a little disappointed today. I live in Atlanta and was very excited to see the Thrashers finally make the playoffs. I had high hopes. We had home ice. We got the NY Rangers in the first round (a team that we played very well against all season long) and what happens. We go down in 4 games. NY out scored us something like 17-5 over those four games. It was sad. They looked like a pee wee team out there. But then again I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It seems to be the curse of any Atlanta pro sports team to play well all season and than suck in the playoffs. Just look at the Braves and the Falcons. I tell ya, it's just about enough to get me to stick with college sports and stop watching the "so called" pros all together.
Oh well, maybe next year.
