Oh sorry Peter I was kidding. I know there is plenty of value in the course from just seeing what others say about it. I am not really doing a cd lesson.

I was just seeking some designing help and a few pointers. My site works for me now. I made it work myself. It pulls in business.

Check this out. I invested about 8 hours into Search Engine Optimization.

www.secretuniversity.com Google/AOL 0, Yahoo 234, AllTheWeb 458, AltaVista 460, MSN 27 links.
www.gregphillips.home123.com Google/AOL 0, Yahoo 846, AllTheWeb 1580, AltaVista 1600, MSN 73 links

Google/AOL is incorrect for both though.

No doubt, if inbound links meant all that much to attracting the right sort of traffic that can be converted, enough of it, and if Search Engine Optimization helped you utilize all the proper components a website should have, then I would be impressed with those numbers of yours vs. a re-directed url of ours.

I know thousands of websites that have more links than our training website, means nothing to an originator however. Search Engine Optimization is simply the latest rage for web-geeks - I spend less than one hour on that in class.

Secret your site is not getting much traffic though. Why is that? It really does not matter I suppose. What matters is how much business you get from your web site by itself. Just sitting out there and people searching for training. Do you track who buys from the site randomly and without seeing you on forums and such? But, regarless your site is a phenomial resource for someone to be directed too that will help them buy from you.

I appreciate your detective efforts. Alexa data I have found time and time again to be meaninless (vs our reliable web-log stats), otherwise you're welcome to contact me offline if you like greg; I don't want to have a public conversation about this topic.

I see you edited your post, while I was responding greg. In short, I have an excell spreadsheet with stats galore. Printed out, it's the size of your desktop, all the boxes filled in -- I have always been very anal about numbers, so yes I keep a close watch on what happens at our website.

I have spent many many hours on it greg, and still do - I'll guess I still spend at least 2 hours weekly tweaking it, as I want it to be the best it can be. And am now starting that with my new blog - http://americasmoneycenter.blogspot.com/ - and it's RSS Feeds, etc.

Alexa is not totally worthless though.

I do get a lot of random business on my page. It is 21% of my closed business too. This is just random search visits. I am going to try and start tracking what keywords they used to find me when I talk to them. I started to ask but people seem unsure so far so I do not know how accurate this would be.

That is pretty impressive! I checked out that link. When are you adding your picture? :-)

It takes so very long to do all of this. Quite frankly I may just pay someone to do it. I have a 4 yr old and a 7 yr old and my wife works nights and is not here to help. Fitting this in has not been going so well for me.

Yes this can easily be a time & money issue, plus once built it takes ongoing time to tweak as well.

Good Luck greg, seriously good luck.

Hey folks I did manage to publish something but I only have about 3 hours invested so far. It is officially a beta site at this point but if you want to go ahead and take a look. www.businesswithgreg.com

The one thing that is up in the air is whether I want to try using bold text on the entire page or not. So let me know what you think.
