Why do Some Net Branches may pay Slow?
If a Net Branch company provides very little service to their branches
and pays the branches slow enough, it would be possible for the net branch company to meet all their internal payroll costs just from the interest they are earning while delaying payments.
I am not suggesting any company is doing that, however I have no hard evidence that some are not doing it and it seems perfectly logical that some could be doing it.
And if in fact a Net Branch company was meeting all their internal payroll costs just from the interest they were earning while delaying payments, Where would a 1099 IC, Net Branch Manager go to complain?
No where I know of, I doubt their state department of labor would be too interested in their complaint unless their was a strong case the Net branch company was, treating the branch manager more like an employee than a IC.
