We offer branch opportunities with more than one Net Branch Company.
Here are few things to consider when looking at a Net Branch opportunity.
We try to avoid companies that 1099, for a variety of reasons.
Here are a few:
1) A 1099 IC can not file a complaint with the state department of labor if wages are not paid in a timely manner
2) If a states decides to prohibit 1099, the net branch provider may elect to leave the state, leaving the branch manager without a home.
3)It appears that companies that pay 1099, seem to lower the bar more on experience requirements of a branch manager more than do companies that hire strictly W2 employees.
4) If a branch manager is 1099 it seems logical their may not be coverage provided specifically for the manager in the event a borrower takes legal action.
Also for a several reason we not deal with net branch providers that hire rookies to manage their branch locations
Here are a few reasons:
1)The public has reasonably expects when they are dealing with someone holding the title of branch manager, that the branch manager would have some experience before being given that title.
2) Someone running a branch with no experience is more likely to subject the public to a "bad broker experience" thus harming the public’s perception of the industry as a whole.
3)AE´s who deal with Net Branches that hire rookies may not return phone calls at all for many of the branches.
We also will not deal with a company that fails to pay their branches in a timely manner, seems to be getting canceled by lenders, or other wise engages in business practices that do not reflect well upon the mortgage industry as a whole.
