Hello.
From mid Nov until almost April, there is no better weather then FL. Why do you think all the old people come down to FL I wish they wouldnt, they clog the city up, but what are you going to do. Never been to CA, lived in Sarasota, FL for 23 years.. I believe Sarasota is the wealthiest city in the USA, or one of them... More millionares live here, then anywhere else, thats what I have been told..

I'm not too sure about that Matt. Wealthiest people in the nation are in NYC, Las Vegas, Greenwich-CT and Orange County California. There's a reason why movies and shows such as "NYPD Blues", "The OC", "Laguna Beach", "Beverly Hills 90210", "The Apprentice" are made at these areas. My property in FL is nowhere near the price of my condo in CA. Old folks move to FL b/c of the following reasons. (BTW, this is just my opinion and what I've learned from the borrowers):
1. Homestead Act - Most of them live off disability and social security. They don't have to worry about getting their property taken away if they can't pay mortgage.
2. Home prices are cheap and still affordable. A buddy of mine owns a beachfront property which he bought for $2.5mil, 1900 sq ft in 2003 at La Jolla, CA and he bought a beach front property for $1.5mil, 1200 sq. ft at West Palm Beach, FL in 2004. He said FL homes are affordable. I agree b/c I bought a Pulte Home (if you know anything about home builders these guys are quite pricy) for $220k, 1600 sq ft in 2004 at Jacksonville Beach, FL.
Matt, as a lead generator you should be able to see home prices and property values in certain areas. I have mortgage brokers in Iowa, Florida, NY and many more that wants CA leads. That should tell you something. BTW, why do brokers from outside of California want CA leads?
I'm not a mortgage broker so why don't we leave this question open to our MortgageBrokerLandian LOs and Brokers. Thanks and hope you enjoyed your President's Day weekend.
Thanks for reading. Good post.

You guys are missing out on all the great things about snowy winters. 70 degrees... pshaw! It's snowed about 2 feet in my front yard this weekend and it's been great!

I am backing up my buddy Carlo on this one. Southern California baby! No place like it...prices keep going up up up and people still keep moving here. We don't have 15 million people living in Southern California for nothing.
Of course we have been called the land of fruits and nuts! hahahahaha...that always cracks me up!
