Research Report

Research Report

A landmark study on the $27 billion dollar incentive industry entitled Incentives, Motivation and Workplace Performance: Research and Best Practices, showed that tangible incentives dramatically increase work performance by an average of 22%. The research was sponsored by the International Society for Performance Improvement. Other findings which employers will find especially useful in these times of uncertainty include:

• Incentive programs aimed at individual workers increase performance by 27%; when directed at teams, the increase is 45%.
• Incentive programs have an equal, positive impact on both quality and quantity goals.

• Long term incentive programs are more powerful than short term programs (44% gain versus 20%).

• Incentive programs structured with employee input work best; however, only 23% of incentive systems were selected with employee input.

Another study was done which addressed the critical issue of Measurement of Return on Investment of incentive programs. The study, "Determining the Return on Investment of Incentive Travel Programs", coordinated by SITE Canada, focuses on the approaches to measuring ROI as well as the findings of a survey of executives responsible for incentive programs, and provides a hands on template for measuring ROI on such programs.

Another study was done about a Motivation for Excellence Survey to assess which motivational tactics are used most often, employee awareness of external motivation tactics and how employees rate their employers in the area of motivation. The findings include:

• Eighty-five percent of employees agree that their level of motivation has an impact on either the quality or quantity of their work.
• 59% believe their company does not do enough to motivate.

• 75% say that a formal motivation program would be beneficial.

• Work/life balance and employer recognition are among the most used motivational tactics.

• Receiving special training, education or professional development is highly valued as a meaningful reward for a job well done.

Mini Vacations for 25 cents each.

Vacation Voucher for 25 Cents Each

If you see the value of using Free Vacations in your business, as many do, but just don't want to invest in a higher ticket program to get it done, I've discovered somethig you may want.

How about being able to offer your customers a complimentary Mini-Vacation Getaway: Vegas, Palm Springs, Orlando, Tahoe, Branson...and more...and the voucher only cost you 25 Cents, with your contact information on it even.

The recipient only has to pay a one time reservation processing fee of $10 and the room taxes, $7-$12 per night. The vendor of these has been around for 30 years. Also, marketers on the net and on EBay are selling these same vouchers for $1-$20 apiece!

Check it out at http://www.destinationexcitement.com Keep in mind that this site is geared towards people who want to make money reselling the vouchers, but the bottom line is you can be a reseller and get them for 25 Cents!

Cheers,
Kelly Gerards

I wonder what selling vacation vouchers has to do with the mortgage industry?

Seems to me, that used car dealers use to do the same kind of thing. Buy a used car, get a free vacation. Guess the mortgage biz is just about in the same league. . .or it would be if LOs and Brokers deal with this kind of rubbish.

Mods: Why is stuff like this allowed in the forum? It's a waste of time to read threads such as this one.

Sorry for the rant, but I just don't get it. . .

-Barry

Erik has a spectacular aura about
Barry - thanks for your concern and feedback. This thread is in the appropriate category where ads for mortgage related products and services are allowed. If you don't find value in a particular offer, that's fine - don't waste your time reading about it and/or posting about it.

You can also use the ignore feature to ignore a poster who makes offers that don't interest you, so that the site will automatically filter out anything they post.

Since some mortgage people have been known to use a product like this, and it's in the appropriate category, I don't think it's worthy of deletion.

Erik - That was a very considerate reply post. I myself post ads in here and if no one wants to buy-in to it then I would much appreciate it when I'm ignored, than criticized.

Barry - Welcome to MBL. Erik is right. Enjoy your stay and please respect your fellow MortgageBrokerLandian. You are now a MortgageBrokerLandian!

Thanks,
Carlo

Kelly,

I'm not sure if you read my offer in here. Just incase you missed it I'm doing a banner exchange to network with other vendors and of course, get more traffic. I'm building a website which I will be promoting on TV by summertime. Give me a call or send me a private message if you have any questons.

Thanks,
Carlo
