1-4% Direct Mail Responses

This is an ACTUAL RECENT EMAIL FROM A CLIENT IN LONG ISLAND,NY

Dan,

I just asked most of my guys directly how many calls and apps they got ... I am still waiting to get a hold of 6 guys. However, from the 16 guys I did talk to ... they got 61 calls and 39 apps. Of those 39 apps they feel good that at least 12 will close. We will see how many will actually close. I can tell you that my minimum level of acceptability for any marketing campaign is:

One lead for every $100 spent.

A conversion rate of 4.50%

So ... for your $4500 I would have wanted 45 calls and of those 45 calls I would have wanted 45 X 4.5% = 2 closings. We probably got 75 calls (emphasis mine)and we will net at least double if not triple the number of expected closed loans. We will do this again (emphasis mine). I'll call you soon to go over the next campaign. I would like to do the same one. I am not sure if I want to do it for the whole office again or maybe I will do it for only a few of my loan officers.
