I work as a banker. To be honest, it's not that much better exept that the closing money is always sitting at the table instead of off in mystery wire land. The loan still has to be underwriten by someone. I think as a banker, my opinion of broker conduits gets greyed by the fact that I'm not working on vanilla deals with them. If I were to deliver nothing but gravy to these conduits, I'm sure things would go smoother and AE's would be more eager to work with me.
