If you pull a credit report and see ANY derogatory items with at least 6 months since the date of last activity,
submit the client info on your portal page
(Click Here For an Example). This does two things
a) If you are not able to get them into a loan, or they feel the interest rate is too high if you can, we can be one step ahead of the game and get them approved at the rate they are looking for faster, increasing your bottom line
b) If you already have them approved and they are satisfied, send them to us anyway. If we can raise their score and save them a few points on their mortgage, wouldn't they want to refinance with you? More money on a refinance--repeat business!
When you get email notifications that your client as been updated, ensure to check to see what has been updated, what has been deleted/fixed, and if you feel that their score might have been improved.
Proper followup is the key and will keep your client loyal!
