Secret,

I still have to disagree with you. I don't think MANY wholesale ae's are like that. I think a few are. Just like a few LO's are as well. IN any industry you're always going to have the few that have to find some way to cheat the system just to make a few or many extra dollars. I've known a couple of people like this, who think they're smarter than everyone else but eventually it all catches up to them. Unfortunately it makes the rest of look bad and our jobs harder. I just believe it's a small percentage that pull that kind of crap is all.

That's sad to condemn the innocent with such a short-sighted comment. Then again, I tend to be the eternal optimist and focus on what is good and who does the right thing, rather than constantly pointing out what is horrible and bad and wrong - I get enough of that garbage in the media. I can't even watch the news because it's all doom and gloom... pure trash. I hope this place becomes the type of environment where people HELP and where there is a positive atmosphere. Comments like these (that seem to be posted by the same select few) really bring everybody down.

worldsavings,

when you and I got hired by our current employers don't you remember the job description you signed on for?:

" lunch buyers, donut suppliers, and basically nice friendly people who handed out rate sheets."

I don't know about you but my mentor was Darth Sidious and, well, you can probably guess the rest of the story.

Signed,

Darth Fremont

Actually, I was hired on as an assistant to the district manager and learned the rep position through a different process than many people do (and I feel it was VERY advantageous). I'm not sure how familiar you are with World, but they've always sort of marched to the beat of their own drummer and done their own thing. The longer I'm in the industry, the more I realize how bass ackwards my company is and I LOVE IT. That difference is the reason we are the ONLY S&L left from the big S&L fiasco in the 80's, and why we will ALWAYS be here - we have watched the demise of so many huge companies that everyone said would be around forever (1300 federally insured S&L's failed between 1980 and 1995). Guess who is still ticking...

Secret! has a spectacular aura about

I have a few suggestion for those that disagree with my remarks, ready? Start spending some time learning about the industry you're in, more than your own circle, and read industry publications and news regularly. Once you start to do that, you'll be amazed at what's going on out there!

I have been asked from time how I keep up with what's what out there in the mortgage world. So I can stay an informed Mentor and teacher, in addition to reading (dead tree - paper magazines and newspapers) National Mortgage News, Scotsman Guide, Origination News, and a handful of newsletters I get on an irregular basis from various sources …

Ok that was a great post secret. Thanks man!

It is important to go outside of the "brainwashing box" and see what other peoples views are.

Usually information trickles down from corporate and it is 1 or 2 people's opinions.

One of those Greg - the National Thirft News, I have read every Monday (they publish that paper weekly) for 25 years!

Lenderama? Of course, I do, that list must be faulty to have missed recording them

Wow!

Did they do it on paper then put it on the net? Save any?

I think it would be neat to see them from 20+ years ago!!!
