Ok, let me rephrase my earlier post since I didnt seem to get any replies.
Can someone please tell me how a mortgage is handled with a lender when there are two people on the mortgage (primary and a co-borrower), and the primary passes away????

If the borrower and co borrower are husband and wife, then the property and mortgage pass directly to the spouse without probate.

I would check the state laws or an attorny for any other scenerio. Check the deed and the right of survivorship.

It would depend on how they took title(Survivorship or General Warranty Deed) and the liens filed against said property.

Regardless, Lender still wants pmts.
