So Im told to GET A REALTOR!

Yeah Im a newbie and just started about 2 weeks ago. I need something to offer the realtor. What do I say when I make that first call to them? What do I say when I am meeting with them? I read posts like do talk about rates. Sell you not the rates. Im new and all I have to offer is my determination and will to follow up on the lead and make the loan go through fast as possible. I have nobody I can offer to them looking for a house. Please help me out cause we all know have a RA on your pipeline is a great plus.

Thanks again,

Mike.

Mike,

Stop focusing on what you don't have. Focus on that you do have. alot of time and determination. Tell them you will sit an open for them/with them or any other thing they want you to do. Go find a client for them how? Plan block yard sales and provide the signage and place an ad for it in the local newspaper. Get out from behind your desk and make it happen..Think of other out of the box ways to make yourself valuable to a realtor.

What's wrong with saying exactly what you said to us just now? It sounds to me like you're a bit too worried about losing something you don't have yet, which is paralyzing you into taking no action at all. Like the others have said - just get out and say anything. Improvise.

You could also take a look at this page: http://www.mortgagebrokerland.com/ma..._call_you.html

Good luck.

Everyone has good points. Just focus on what you can do for them, and start calling. Make a game out of it. Try to get there tough deal from them or one that died and see if you can revive it.

I would be careful on the other hand at offering to sit at an open house "for them" instead of with them. In most states sitting at an open house constitutes the pratice of selling Real estate which requires a license. Unless of course you have both.

Be honest with them, and don't try to "sell" them. Everyone hates to be sold!
