Okay.........

Can a loan officer protect himself from a shady broker? How can he make sure he gets his commission?

I have never heard of this before

You must mean a shady Realtor. Or are you talking about a legal referral between 2 state licenced loan officers?

The hud should reflect the fees. I would make sure you get your fees in writing from the guy beforehand .

The most obvious answer that jumps out at me is to have everything in writing from the beginning. And keep copies of it all.

I thought Ebony meant broker as in "employer".

I think I agree with you Erik, maybe English isn't his/her first langauge so we get a 'confused question' ... if your GUESS is correct Erik (as I suspect) then the answer is QUIT and get another job!

Thanks for all of your answers. Even yours, secret! And just for the record....English is a language I am well acquainted with. The scenario that I was seaking about was if an LO signs up with a mortgage brokerage. Is there protection for the LO to get paid? I have received the answer, aand will pass the info on. Thanx again.

Look ebony , i must speak your language , because i understood it . Secret is just one of those guys that thinks his poo dont stink , but it does. Do not pay him any attention . Since he doesnt read this language i guess it wont hurt his feelings . But yeah , there's nothing wrong with getting a written employee/employer agreement . Remember there is no trust in this game , it is full of snakes that cant wait to bite you .
