The Loan Closing Process Start to Finish

Well I figured I would share more secrets with you about how I handle this.

I try very hard to send everyone to my web page to apply. I try not to take paper apps unless it will delay the process until the next day or greater. My loan system is Empower! and it is amazing. They apply on my site and all the data is put into my loan system. All I do is pull credit and place it.

When I take the app I want to get 3 offers within an hour back to the applicant. They are not detailed but I set them up to pick a program they like that will suit their needs.

Next step is to send respa. Within this package I generally FEDEX I enclose a cover letter and 3 business cards directing them to refer me loans, gather docs, sign, and send the package back right away.

Then I place the deal with the best fit lender. Customer approval.

Once done the loan goes to processing and all the VO's are ordered and the services needed (Appraisal/Title/Inspections)

When all is completed the file is shipped to the lender or underwritten by my processor depending on the program.

Some very high producers actually send letters informing Realtors and Customers when certain items are accomplished. They work well and I will implement in 2006.

Clear stips and close.

Ask for testimonial and 3 referrals contacts.

So there is a basic understanding for you of what my loan process consists of. Much the same for most loan officers.

Local business I am there in person to do disclosures and typically try my best to get the loan in processing same day if possible.

I utilize a power inverter in my car to power my 4 in 1 printer and my laptop. I copy docs and finalize the disclosure per the selected offer on the spot.

Mobile office in my car.

It is a Lexmark X6150

4 in 1

was 149.99 at Sams Club last November.

I wish the scanner had a feeder like the new ones.

Cool.
I'm working with a Dell AIO 960. It has the feeder on top which is really handy. It's good for my office, but a little bulky for my car. I'd like to get something a little smaller and less cumbersome for when I have to take my show on the road.

Oh my 6150 is rather large too. It takes up half of the back seat.
