Just a success story.

Our company sends a flyer each season. This winter edition features a 13 yr lo who works 40 hours a week and produced 47 units for 7.1 million.

She is a manager too!

When you have a company that provides the right tools and pays for help if you are a producer you can really break loose like this.

Broker shops typically are hands off.

This company has a reverse management mentality. Your manager works for you. His manger works for him. Now of course policy issues work the opposite and lack of production as well but if you are in a bad situation seek another opportunity.

There are plenty of places who will hire you. You are not isolated.

Food for thought. Some people need to see something like this to know what their capacity really is in this business.

One great note this particular person makes is she has a family and she lives every work day like it is the day before vacation. Get as much done as possible and as quickly as you can.

Some people slack off before a vacation. That reaps nothing positive!

great motivation

Thanks for the post Greg. Very motivational. I'm fairly new to the mortgage industry. I work full time at a car dealership and it is relentless. I got my foot in the door at a mortgage company about 8 mo ago but the branch fell apart due to lack of communication on the branch managers part. Then I went with another small company that fell apart due to the owners, husband and wife, getting divorced. I then moved with some of the LOs to another company that soon failed as well. This whole time I've kind of been apprenticing under the other LOs, helping them close loans and screen leads, to gain some knowledge on the business. I'm beggining to see that mortgage companies are about a dime a dozen. I've got a couple of LOs that I speak with on a regular basis now, that are kind of helping me along. Well after working with these companies for the past 8 mo, 100% for free, I'm still pushing to network and bring in leads, and work my full time job. Just a little background on me.
Forums like this help push me to work double time on getting this mortgage business on track.
Thanks for listening,
Rick

What a horror story. Seek a larger company with good training. Good benefits. Good Pay. Marketing budgets to help you get business.
