Have you guys seen Zillow.com?

The founder of Expedia lauched his real estate website toaday. It's zillow.com. I was really impressed and posted some potential uses on my blog. What do you guys think?

Interesting site - looks like it could be very useful in the future. However, I did a search for a rental condo I sold last summer here in Utah and let's just say the value was a tad bit inflated. The site told me the condo was worth over $500k, when in reality it sold for less than $200k.

Not enough comps. If they get more data - the site could be really cool.

I've searched 8 properties including 5 recent appraisels. All were very close. Zillow is still in beta, but I think it has some serious potential.

I agree - very nice potential. HouseValues has got to be a little concerned, I would imagine.

I think that site sucks.
I checked one property and it said it was worth 108k. There original cost of the house was 270k and my appraisal was at 380k.
Another was over inflated by 120k and another two were lower from 75 to 100k. I wouldnt use that for a reference at all. I think it will make alot of buyers skeptical especially when it comes in high.

I checked the info on 5 properties I own - it's not close on any of them.

Even the comps are off.
