Feedback on 3 Referrals For A Free Lead

I just wanted to see who was awarded with a free lead for referring 3 people to MBL and see how the quality of this promotion was.

I was awarded with 1 free lead and I called 3x daily for a week while leaving a message on the 3rd call and never reached my free lead. This happens in the lead industry and is expected.

I am curious to see if anyone else benefited from the opportunity.

Thanks for your comments in advance.

'Free Lead' and a 'Paid Lead' are two different things. Just had to throw my 2 cents.

Thanks,
Carlo

Yeah I know Carlo but everything is a direct reflection of your company and if free is lower quality then I suggest you change that for increased sales. My .02 cents :-) I think if you focused on quality all around and let people test the quality product they may see why they need to purchase more rather than having a situation like my lead that turns into nothing. (I know it happens even with the quality one's and some loan officers call and leave 1 message and think they will call back lol ... It happens sometimes of course)

Yes I used to telemarket solely for business and had great success at it. When I did I was 114 of over 5000 employees in 2003. I made 100-150 calls per day and the system tracked app ratios to contacts. I was at 41% for contacts turned into applications which was well above the company goals.

It is a bit aggressive I know but you have to try at various times of the day. My system worked so I do not change it.

Carlo you remember when you were posting free leads and put customer names addresses and phone number in this forum? It made me think of a question. How long have you been selling leads? I see people suggesting you are a loan officer. Is this true? If so do you still do mortgages? Just thought I would check. I think that would be neat.

Nevermind on the lead sales tenure. I saw it here on the BBB report.

Not a problem. That's very good that you brought these questions up because it has been a Bullseye on me b/c of my RipoffReport.com post against BO.

Questions as follows:

Carlo you remember when you were posting free leads and put customer names addresses and phone number in this forum? It made me think of a question. How long have you been selling leads?

YES, I do remember that. I actually got that idea when I was in BrokerOutpost when mortgageleads.net was posting free leads online to promote his business. I thought it was a great idea so I did it in MBL (but it was so amateur of me to post their names, emails and phones) until Erik Baty corrected me and then I had stop. Also, the only reason why I was giving away FREE leads on this forum was to promote MBL. Remember, when I was doing the Refer MBL to 3 and you get a lead for FREE, well, I did that to drive more LOs in here. My major intention is to make this forum huge and know that I was apart of that growth so I can get some respect (just a little bit). I mentioned this to you and Erik when MBL debuted on Dec. 6, 2005.

Other members in other forums thought I owned MBL b/c I promoted it like crazy. That should tell you how much I care about this community and how much it means to me.

Unlike when I was a BrokerOutposter, I was just another lead provider that was looked at as a scam. If you notice, I don't usually throw advertisements about my leads in here. I have clients that I've done business with for 3 years that are throwing the good reviews.

I see people suggesting you are a loan officer. Is this true? If so do you still do mortgages?

Yes! I was a loan originator in the past. Go check out, http://cdesierto.allfundmortgage.com. However, you will notice the statement "This branch is not properly.....blah..blah..bla..." That should tell you that I cannot do loans anymore. I was involved in a multi-level marketing structured loan originator type of deal. I did it for 6 months and I hated it so I decided to cancel my affiliation with All Fund Mortgage.

Do I still do mortgages? No, I am so busy with GetLeads Network while having 15 telemarketers (and growing) working around the clock 24/7 with 3 sales agents is enough work for me to deal with escrow, title, closing, processing, underwriting and all that headache stuff. eeerrrr

Greg, I know this wasn't apart of your question but I'd like to throw it out there anyway since we are on the discussion.

How come you still have the BBB logo in your website even if you are not a member?

My membership expired and I am actually getting ready to re-apply for it again. I am just waiting until June 2006 b/c that's the next Yellow Pages insertion here in San Diego. Besides, I just didn't see the point of paying $470.00 every 3 months just to be a BBB member. My sales rep is Judy in the San Diego branch BBB. Ask her about my membership, she knows the scoop.

Anyhow, consumers can still post reports against my company if they wish to do so. So far, I haven't had any bad complaints. The last one was in July 2004 by a company called World Mortgage Lenders in Costa Mesa, CA.

Anyone, please feel free to ask me any questions. I am very fine with it.

In conclusion, I am running a good, honest business. Just standby for some good reviews regarding on my leads very soon. I have clients that are very happy with my service.

Also, if any of you ever want to check out our telemarketing division, come to SD and I will be more than glad to show you our 1200 sq. ft. office fully staffed with telemarketers 24/7. I am not some one man show lead provider. I actually have employees that are on the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thanks for reading...

Se guys this is what I am talking about. Carlo "may" have made some mistakes in the past. I really feel he is doing a great job at trying to FOCUS on getleads. Very prompt and professional operation Carlo.

I say let the BO madness subside. You cannot change the past but you must not forget. People do change. I know when Tom and Midas showed up it struck an old BO nerve but since then you have all gotten a long very well.

Darin dogged me on BO today and it was very funny though. I hit add post instead of add reply and then I noticed it after I posted and kind of "told" him to remove the post. He said "They must not require much to be a forum moderator these days :P"

It was funny for sure though. It was an honest mistake but sometimes people take things so personal and get frustrated and upset.

I just do not choose to form opinions based on opinions. I do not forget them but I take them for what they are. Opinions and feelings. Those can change over time with anyone.

Thanks for the great response Carlo!

Sometimes the greatest success starts from within. Sometimes people look for a formula or a process. That sometimes results in treating people like a number. Do you understand what I mean? Kind of like me telemarketing the way I still did on the leads. I should stop. I know how much I do not like people calling my house. But, didn't those free leads request info Carlo? How old do you think they were? That is not the same as how I used to COLD CALL and get that kind of success. Yeah I had a script and it started with "Do you have bills? and it made people laugh. Laughing is fun..... There is a calling tip for an ice breaker that got me a lot of success. Try that out when you get haynes leads sometime. It is not so bad. Then I would roll into the no obligation free look to see if I could improve their financial situation. It was so vague I just told them I would see if I could reduce rates on their mortgage(s) or consolidate bills to a lower interest rate on an equity loan. If their was a no it was then me saying "I just saved one of my customers $50.00 per month and they decided to keep paying the same payment. They will end up saving $35,000 in interest because of it over the term of their loan. That is some serious money to re-invest into your retirement fund right? YES Ok this is why you should let me take a look. "No" But, you said you see value in saving money so why not? pause...(listen) Open-Ended trigger questions resulting in a yes answer. Think of some more and build a sequence of 3 likely yes answers.

There..... see if that works.... give it your own twist.

Ramble Ramble Ramble..... I am tired but I spew money making idea's for free and I hope someone likes it. lol

No problema, my friend. It actually feel really good now that I got that out of my chest (and for the MBL community to know whats going on). Just to make it short and sweet... I love being here, I'm glad I'm here and I will make this place huge b/c I belong here. Mark my word!

Thanks,
Carlo

If you called me 3 times a day for a week I wouldnt call you back either. In my opinion that is unprofessional and bothersome.

I wouldnt expect much from a free lead anyways. A true lead is a person who inquired with some interest of obtaing more info on getting a loan from ads and emails and Im sure thats how they were generated. I know Carlos product and what he sells is double and triple verified before it gets to you. You can not base a good decision off of 1 lead and it also depends on that persons sale skill.
