WFG is a company that does nothing but ruin peoples lives, including two of my family members. I know because I started there in one of the Denver branches. As wizard said, it's a multi level marketing group that was picked up by Aegon a couple of years back. The structure is such that your "team leaders" (I call them savages) will reap the benefits of your hire while you (an extremely intelligent and knowledgeable business person) will flounder trying to become successful.
I usually crack jokes and laugh as I write some of the stuff I do, but this time I wish I could take a picture of my look as I write and post it with this. I'm dead serious about this, stay away. Take a minute and google WFG, World Financial Group or World Group Securities, you'll read some stories that could potentially make you emotional, seriously!
The funniest part of the whole process I underwent is when the agents or brokers would get down because they weren't making any money, they would have the "upline leaders" come in and give pep talks and motivational speeches to keep moral up. I was really into it for a while until they completely screwed the only two clients (family members) I had. These guys are absolutely pathetic.
